Be Much More Profitable with A Faster Windows XP

A slow computer should be history. With advancement in innovations and technology, having a slow computer will really make you feel living in the Jurassic era. It is for this reason that we frequently search for ways to speed up their PCs.

If you are experiencing this, then this is the timely place. Yes, there is a lot of tweaking and modifying involved in speeding up a PC. But then again, these uncomplicated things are worth a try.

Here is some of the tweaking I did to speed up my Windows:

> Getting bored with the menu delays is really annoying. Cut down the time to load menu transitions through right clicking your desktop. Click Properties and Select the Effects tab. Unmark the Animate windows menu lists. For Windows XP users, you can do this by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting Properties, selecting the Appearance tab, choosing the Effects option and deselect Use the following transition effects for menus and tooltips, then Click OK.

> Speed up Windows Start Up by cleaning out the softwares you dont use at start-up. For Windows 98 users, this could be done by going to Start and clicking Run. Then enter MSConfig.exe and then choose OK. Click the Start up tab then unmark the softwares you wish to disablethroughout the startup. As you see, you may be able to speed start up Windows if you cut down the softwares that PC needs to run.

> Defragment also helps to speed up your PC. Find the defrag option under your System Tools menu from the Accessories or Start Tab. Be sure that you dedicate a time for defragging. Operating various programs as the same time as defragging restricts the process itself.

> Selecting to install your programs is recommended if you frequently experience errors. Always scan your PC for viruses before backing up any files. In addition, be sure that you have a back up copy of your harware drives before erasing files from your hard drvies Reinstalling your program takes at least an hour or so

> Removing programs that you do not use. Applications, whether you are using them or not, take up space in your hard disk. If you arent making use of them, then is there still a need to keep them? travel discount
